I had the privilege of collaborating with the Urban Design team at Inspire Placemaking Collective to develop a comprehensive brand for a proposed waterfront park in Fort Pierce called Marina Square. To ensure the design reflected the community’s vision, we conducted extensive engagement with local residents to understand their needs and aspirations for the park. While the Urban Design team translated those insights into the physical layout, I focused on shaping the park’s visual identity. I designed interactive engagement activities to gather input on the brand’s look and feel, building on what we had learned from the initial outreach. The resulting logo features four icons, which I meticulously hand illustrated to fit into the shape of a square, reflecting the name of the park. Each icon is also indicative of an aspect of the surrounding environment, as the residents were very proud of their City's natural features. The color palette draws directly from the preferences expressed by residents in community polls, ensuring the brand authentically represents their voice.
