13 artists out of 336 were selected by City District Orlando to design and paint a traffic box in Downtown Orlando, and I am honored to say that I was one of them! My box was sponsored by the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center, so I collaborated with them on the design. The concept we landed on was a floral and plant pattern inspired by the surrounding landscape with a color scheme that complimented the green hues of the building’s glass.
I’m so grateful for the trust in me to bring this project to life and to have a piece of public art in the city that I started my career is such an honor. My box is located on the corner of E Anderson St and Orange Ave, right in front of the Dr. Phillips Center.
